Official presentation of the Chair “Data for a more sustainable mobility”.

On January 27th, we officially presented the Chair “Data for a more sustainable mobility” CPS-UPM at the School of Civil Engineering(CaminosUPM) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

The event brought together experts, researchers and mobility professionals to discuss scientific and technological development in the exploitation and management of data for decision making, with a focus on innovation for mobility management, road safety and road maintenance.

During the event, the main lines of work of the Chair were presented as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practices, aimed at addressing mobility issues of social interest based on collaboration between companies, public administrations and the academic community.

The event also included two very enriching spaces for debate:

A table of innovative use cases, where practical applications and real solutions that are already transforming the way mobility and infrastructures are managed through the use of new data sources were shown.

A round table under the title “New era in mobility management, road safety and data-driven infrastructures”, with representatives from public and private institutions who shared their vision on the challenges and opportunities posed by the use of data in the sector.

This is the beginning of an alliance that strengthens the connection between research, knowledge transfer and practical application, moving towards data-driven solutions that respond to current and future mobility challenges.
