How do we work in the Chair?

In the UPM Chair “Data for a more sustainable mobility”, as a result of the collaboration between CPS the research center TRANSyT and the Polytechnic University of MadridOur daily work focuses on transforming information into real solutions for the challenges of modern transportation. Our work is based on a solid structure and a rigorous methodology aimed at excellence.
We operate on three fundamental pillars: research, dissemination and training. Not only do we explore the market and develop complex R&D&I projects, but we are also committed to returning this knowledge to society. We do this through technical seminars, workshops and master classes, training the professionals who will lead the mobility of the future.
Our methodology is what defines us. We are committed to multidisciplinary work, where diverse and complementary teams bring different perspectives to solve problems from all angles. In this process, data quality analysis is non-negotiable: we seek the usefulness, objectivity and integrity of the information so that it can serve as a real support for efficient decision making.
To achieve this, we employ cutting-edge technological tools, such as connected vehicle data analysis and driving simulation. These instruments allow us to study everything from road safety and logistics to active mobility and driver profiling with scientific precision.
Finally, with a strong international vocation, we collaborate closely with foreign universities and organizations, participating in the most relevant forums and congresses at national, European and international level. At the Chair, we work rigorously, but always with a view to creating a more humane and sustainable mobility.
